TRIBUNNEWS.COM, JAKARTA – The government through the Ministry of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia stipulates that 1 Syawal 1442 H / 2021 M will fall on Thursday, May 13, 2021.
This determination was based on the decision of the isbat session chaired by the Minister of Religion Yaqut Cholil Qoumas at the Ministry of Religion Office, Jalan MH Thamrin, Tuesday (11/5/2021).
“The isbat session unanimously declared 1 Shawwal 1442 H to fall on Thursday, 13 May 2021,” said Yaqut Cholil Qoumas.
Yaqut explained that based on the explanation by the Ministry of Religion’s Hijriyah Calendar Unification Team, the height of the new moon in all of Indonesia was below the horizon, which ranged from minus 5.6 to minus 4.4 degrees.

“We heard reports from a number of hilal perukyah working under oath, from Aceh to Papua provinces. At those 88 points, not a single perukyah can see the hilal,” said Yaqut.
